10 Minute @instantpotofficial Instantpot Sabut Masoor Ki Daal. Whole Brown Lentils with Homemade Tava Naan.
These Whole Brown lentils have been an essential pantry ingredient of every Desi household for centuries. Growing up, my mother cooked these lentils so often with Rice, Roti, and Pulao. However, It didn’t appeal to me much back then but somehow now, I have developed a love for these lentils and so did my little family Alhumdulillah. The lentils’ earthy flavors, cooked with fresh tomatoes, Indian spices, the aroma of ginger-garlic, and Tadka of Pyaz(Thinly sliced Onions), Garlic and Cumin just blow the taste buds away. You have got to try this amazing dish full of flavors. It’s healthy, full of good nutrients and antioxidants.

I made my Daal/Lentils in @instantpotofficial. It takes only 10 minutes to cook this Daal in either Instantpot or Pressure cooker. Cooking in a regular pot might take longer. ⚡Set Instantpot on pressure cook for 10 minutes. Add Lentils, spices, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, and salt. Cover the lid and pressure cook. In a separate pan, take 3 Tablespoons of oil. Add thinly sliced onions and cook it until golden brown. Remove the onion from oil in a plate, add minced garlic and cumin seeds in the leftover oil. Cook it until Garlic starts to change color slightly. ⚡Add crispy Onions, Garlic, and Cumin on top of your Daal/ Lentil soup. Serve it with plain Rice, Naan, or your favorite Salad.
